# og.video

> og.video turns URL params into animated og:video link previews: a 7-second 1200x630 MP4, a PNG poster and a share page with the og tags, rendered at the edge and cached after the first view. No account or API key.

Build `https://og.video/<scenario>.mp4?<params>` (video), `.png` (poster) or no extension (share page). Agents can use the MCP server at https://og.video/mcp (tools og_video_url and og_video_from_prompt) or follow the skill below.

## Docs

- [og.video skill](https://og.video/.well-known/agent-skills/og-video/SKILL.md): pick a scenario, build URLs, add og tags, shorten with ?s= or POST short ids, use the MCP server
- [Param reference](https://og.video/.well-known/agent-skills/og-video/references/params.md): every scenario's params, types, limits and defaults, generated from the schemas
- [MCP server](https://og.video/mcp): Streamable HTTP, stateless, no auth ([server card](https://og.video/mcp/server-card))

## Scenarios

- [kinetic](https://og.video/v1/kinetic.json): Kinetic typography: a headline rises word by word; *starred words* land in the accent colour with a highlight block. Use for: One bold statement, quote or tagline: a manifesto line, a pull quote, a hot take, an opinion post.
- [title-card](https://og.video/v1/title-card.json): An announcement card: a grid reveal, a pixel wordmark that flips into the header, a typed kicker, then the title words blur in. Use for: Launches, blog posts, announcements, events: anything with a title and a brand.
- [falling-words](https://og.video/v1/falling-words.json): Dozens of words rain down, tumble and pile up with real physics around a labelled pill; then the floor drops and the loop starts again. Use for: A big vocabulary in one image: a design system's components, a product's features, integrations, a list of skills or topics.
- [dot-matrix](https://og.video/v1/dot-matrix.json): A split card: a headline on the left, and on the right icons that form out of a dot grid, hold with a pixel-font label, then dissolve into the next. Use for: A product with a handful of capabilities: an API, a platform, a developer tool.
- [gallery](https://og.video/v1/gallery.json): A title block beside a two-column wall of thumbnails that scrolls without end. Use for: Portfolios, showcases, galleries, playgrounds, template or theme collections.
- [diagram](https://og.video/v1/diagram.json): An architecture card: a side panel with the brand, title and counting stats; lanes of nodes unfold, edges draw and packets travel between them. Use for: How a system, pipeline, integration or agent is wired: inputs -> processing -> outputs.
- [metric](https://og.video/v1/metric.json): A big number rolls up like an odometer over a trend line that draws itself, with a delta pill. Use for: One headline number: revenue, users, uptime, latency, downloads, a milestone.
- [bars](https://og.video/v1/bars.json): A bar chart grows in a staggered wave, values count up on the bar tops, the highlighted bar lands in the accent, and an average line sweeps across. Use for: Comparing 2-12 categories or periods: by region, by month, by plan, benchmark results.
- [release](https://og.video/v1/release.json): Release notes: a huge version number rises behind the title, and each item slides in with an icon. Use for: Changelogs, version releases, weekly updates, "what's new" posts.

## Optional

- [streaming-og-video](https://github.com/runtypelabs/og-video): the open-source library og.video runs; self-host it or write your own scenario
- [Library skill](https://github.com/runtypelabs/og-video/tree/main/skills/streaming-og-video): for authoring scenarios and deploying the Worker
